Learning Disabilities Amongst Celebrities

Most celebrities seem to be living in the easy street, but it has not been that simple for some of them. Many of them suffer or have suffered from learning disabilities just like many other ordinary people.

Whether they struggled with learning disabilities to a great deal or not, these celebrities all know what it is like to struggle with a basic learning skill at some point or another.

Several famous musicians, actors and game-changing businessmen have had learning disabilities. Some of these famous celebrities have managed to overcome the learning disability while others have not. In this list Justin Timberlake tops.

Justin has Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is also another celebrity who with a learning disorder. He struggled in school due to his dyslexia. He is now one of the biggest stars in the globe, all credit to his relentless efforts in blockbusters like Mission Impossible. His past never determined his future: neither did his disability become inability.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs is a worldwide known designer, inventor, entrepreneur, and businessman. Many people have had a strong admiration for him and even dared to emulate his ideas. But little do they know that Steve Jobs, just like some other celebrities, struggled in school due to his dyslexia.

He even ended up dropping out of school due to his frustrations. He is now the founder of Apple.

Keira Knightley is another celebrity who struggled in school due to her dyslexia. She is well known for playing the regal women in period pieces.

She is a model, voice acting, and actor born in London. In her life, she has had many credits that include: pirates of Caribbean, dead man’s chest, pride, and prejudice, the imitation game, the curse of the black pearl etc.

Robin Williams

Robin Williams is a well-known figure from the United States who is celebrated throughout the world for his skills in voice acting, screenwriter, and stand-up comedian. He has immense credits that include:

Good Will Hunting, Jumanji, Dead Poets Society etc. despite his success, the Illinois star suffered from Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The Good Will Hunting Oscar winner was also bipolar and suffered from depression.

Glenn Beck

The list of celebrities with disorders in learning does not end here. Yet another celebrity from the United States suffered from Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that made him struggle in school. Glenn Beck, a fifty-two-year-old TV and radio personality, describes his disability as being riddled with ADHD.

He even talks about his condition on his radio show. He is now a professional in Spokesperson, Film producing, Commentating and many more. He has credits in Strange Brew, Dr. Strangelove etc.

Steve Spielberg

Another TV director and businessman, Steve Spielberg suffered from dyslexia. He always felt isolated in school because of his struggle with dyslexia.

The legendary seventy-year-old Television director ended up dropping out of college. He is an entrepreneur, television producer, and film producer.
